Fermín Francisco de Lasuén was a Franciscan friar and missionary. Between 1767 and 1785, he administered a number of missions in Baja and Alta California, including the San Francisco de Borja, San Gabriel, San Juan Capistrano, and San Diego missions. In 1785, he succeeded Junípero Serra as Father-President of the Alta California missions, an office he held for 18 years.
